The musical"Lilly Too",which was performed at the urban theatre in Haifa before the Yom Hakipurim war in 1973, is about an ambitious business woman. The musical was written by Ehud Manor (based upon Moliere’s Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme). Composed by Matti Caspi. Directed by Tzeddy Tzarfatti.
It featured the songs"Guarded Dreams"performed by Yizhar Cohen,“Sweet Mimmi”performed by Roman Sharon and Yizhar Cohen,“Thirty Years”performed by Shraga Harpaz (the song was performed again later by Hava Alberstein),“The Big Play”performed by Roman Sharon,My Balloonand more.
The song “My Balloon” was recorded by Matti Caspi for hisdebut album and dedicated it in the memory of Roman Sharon (Roman Sharon was a star in a military band and released one album with his name in 1973. In the Yom Hakipurim war he was killed when the jeep he drove to a show drove onto a mine).
Ehud Manor talks about the play:
“The reviews were radical. Haaretz critic, Haim Gamzo, called it ‘A rotten fruit’, and critic Nahman Ben Ammi called it in ‘Maariv’: ‘Brecht 73’. It was interesting”.
